U1 WHO we are & Wonder wall - Week One
Introducing the WONDER WALL This week we dove straight into our very first Unit, WHO WE ARE. The Grade 3s were proposed with the question of, 'What comes to mind if I mention the words, Human Body?' . Straight away many hands were thrown in the air and we got down to brainstorming. We then began on our Wonder Wall whilst their thoughts and inquiries were still fresh. Many interesting questions and curiosities came about, such as: - How does my hand know something is hot? - Why am I able to walk? - Why does our blood never stop moving ...and so on. The Reverential Rhinos were then split into three groups, they had to come up with a group name and three goals that they would like to work on whilst busy with their big human body poster project. And so, they begin with their poster project's... During English we focused on handwriting, punctuation, fiction vs nonfiction books and even started our class story- 'George's Marvelous Medicine' by Roald Dahl. In Mathe...
