WELL-DESERVED BREAK!
The Grade 3s came bustling in with excitement on Monday morning, very happy to see one another after our well-deserved autumn break. It was fantastic to hear about all the different adventures and memories they each made, whether it was family and grandparents visiting from afar, making and creating something new or visiting an unfamiliar place, they truly had so much to share!
A SPOOOK here and a SPOOOK there... even Mr Benny Bones and Neko-chan felt that it was fitting to dress up for this occasion.
During Unit, our Reverential Rhinos worked in pairs to try and decide which natural resources were classified as renewable and which ones are nonrenewable.
We also discussed the rock cycle and the main types of rocks found in the earth's crust.
On Thursday morning, we had a bit of an (expected) interruption. Our cellphone emergency notifications went off requesting us to follow the Hyogo safety procedure for an emergency tsunami evacuation drill. Once again, the Grade 3s did a fantastic job fallowing the teacher's instructions.

Cross Country
To end off the eventful week, we had our annual Upper Primary Cross Country Event.
It was a great success!
The Grade 3's and 4's participated in the 1km endurance race and the Grade 5's and 6's ran the 2km race. After the individual races they ran their relay race, which was a lot of fun with friendly competition. Well done to all our runners for their unbeatable effort!

Congratulations, to Shun for taking first place out of our boys, followed by Nicolas with second place and Sio in third place!

Congratulations, to Maelle for taking first place out of our girls, followed by Olivia with second place and Emily in third place!
