U3 HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2024!
A very happy new year to all of you!
The Reverential Rhinos arrived smiling from ear to ear after a much needed and well-deserved holiday. They were very keen on sharing their exciting adventures with one another, so took to their books to create a written piece describing the enthralling events that took place during their holiday.
During Mathematics, we practiced and learnt different methods and strategies to solve multiplication by 2-digit numbers, and we also problem solved when working out short division questions that have remainders.
One of our Rhino's keenly volunteered herself to teach and show the class how they can solve a short division problem.
⭐Good job!⭐
With no time to lose we jumped straight into our unit. The Grade 3s loved learning about what it means to be a part of a society. After our discussions based on society, the grade threes were split into two groups to form two different societies. Participating in a cup and string activity, their aim was to problem solve as a society by stacking the cups on top of one another using only strings and an elastic band. They found themselves dealing with problems, making decisions on how to do things and sharing the work that needs to be done. We even had relocation going on, as some citizens had to move from one society to another.

After solidifying our understanding of society we moved on to learn about community. Our Grade 3s are currently busy with their research and presentation's to help educate one another about the different types of communities that can be found in a society.

Grade 4 Survey
As part of their scientific research and observations, the Grade 4s came around to collect data from our students.
