How We Express Ourselves
Tying in perfectly with our UP Spring Musical month, the Reverential Rhinos have moved on to their next unit
- How we express ourselves.
Our central idea revolves around, dance being an art form that allows us to express feelings and ideas. The students thought of different words that characterizes a dancer, many of which were attributes of our Learner Profile.
A heartfelt farewell!💕
On Wednesday the Reverential Rhinos had to say farewell to one of their fellow calf friends.
We wish him all the best on his new adventure.
We are thinking of you and sending lots of love, remember to come and visit us soon!

Culture Week
It is always a good week when we get to learn about and share our different cultures with one another.
We had some fun dressing up in crazy hats and funky socks, as artists and art work, superhero's or a hero in your life and on the final day, we dressed up in our beautiful traditional outfits.
A cheery assembly on the ways different countries record and say different animal sounds, followed by a dance performed by some Grade 1 students.
There were really cool traditional games that we got involved in, thank you to our PTA moms!
We enjoyed dancing in India, the Philippine's and Scotland - which ties in perfectly with our current unit.

Culture Day Parade
Then on the final day, we marched around the Rokko Liner with pride, showing off our vast array of countries and cultures at school.
To top it off we enjoyed a Hanami picnic together in the park, eating tasty food from Japan, Korea, China, Spain, New Zealand and South Africa.
