U6 Civilizations & Ownership

Where We Are
in
Place & Time
Last Unit for the year, it is exciting yet scary to think there are only 5 weeks left of this academic year.
As part of the new Unit, the Grade 3's have started off with a section of work we'd like to call, 'Ownership Time'. Completing tasks in the given time is a must and the students take responsibility for the order of completion.

In Mathematics, we made a group poster explaining 'Decimal Numbers', the Grade 3s then changed the value of a number by moving it's decimal dot/ 'point' according to the multiplication/division equation of tens, hundreds, and thousands.

Sneak Peak
Here is a sneak-peak of the books that some of our Grade 3s made for their 'Dancing Around the World' research project.

Exhibition
The Grade 5's & 6's have been working exceptionally hard on their exhibition and have been collaborating with teachers and different Grades in the school.
This is a picture of them doing a survey about gender in sport, before their PE session.

Recycling Bins
During STEM week in April, the Reverential Rhinos had very strong feelings about recycling, they wanted to make recycling easier and fun for people, so decided to make recycling dustbins for the school.
We took time to polish up and repair the dustbins.

Distribution Time!
I am not sure who was more excited, the students handing over their hard work to the other classes, or the teachers receiving the dustbins from our students!
